Don’t do this

June 28th, 2021

One of the more depressing things about getting back out into the world where there are people is that there are a great many selfish people out there. Wandering through the camp site, I came across the mess in the picture above – obviously someone had decided it wasn’t worth the effort to clean up after themselves and just left it in a big pile. I suppose I should be impressed that they managed to find one spot, since there are plenty of examples of where people have just scattered stuff around and left. Don’t be these people. The thing is: there’s no need. There’s absolutely no difficulty in carrying a garbage bag to a central place – which happens to be right at the exit of the site – in order to dump it there. To be brutally honest, there’s no real need to have created so much garbage in the first place. Tread lightly.
